To Give H.O.P.E.’s goal is not just to bring goods, but to become acquainted with the families, to learn and understand their lives and the challenges they face, so we can provide them with a variety of services and help them further sustain and improve their lives.
For individuals with the desire to help improve the lives of impoverished children or the luxury of time to invest in an overseas project, To Give H.O.P.E. offers many different ways to volunteer on site, in Quito. Volunteers can be high school or university students, adults or older adults. The only requirements are a desire to help our children and be willing to learn and/or practice some Spanish. Fluency is not required.
Local Opportunities
Our volunteers have come from countries around the world to experience the singular joy of making a lasting difference in the life of economically and emotionally deprived children. We welcome volunteers for any length of stay. Please contact us to discuss your interests and help us design an experience that you will never forget.
Cristina Egüez is happy to answer any questions and if needed help find a host family. Typically the cost for lodging and food is $20 a day or a reduce rate for monthly stays.

Build a New Center Brick by Brick
Our children in Ecuador have been struggling with overcrowding in our current location. Teachers are forced to hold class anywhere they can, even in the kitchen and outdoors. We, at To Give H.O.P.E. have been planning on building a new learning center to fill this need.
The center will be a place for us to provide education, medical care, food, and year-round community activities. Your help in reaching this goal would be most appreciated.
Sponsor a Classroom
Our program is unique because 100% of your donations go directly to improving the life of your sponsored class in Quito, Ecuador. This will also help provide healthy meals, registration fees, clean water, dental care, field trips, and parenting classes. With any available funds, donations will also help to provide a child with a birthday gathering. Oftentimes, children don’t have the means for having this special celebration in community and with their peers. To Give H.O.P.E. is to also put a smile in our children’s faces while strengthening social connections.
